Plantation Tradition at SOA, IPS Academy – Rooting Every Milestone in Green
At the School of Architecture, IPS Academy, Indore, we believe that every meaningful event should leave a lasting, living impact. To honor this philosophy, SOA has nurtured a unique tradition: planting a tree to commemorate significant occasions, academic milestones, and dignitary visits. As part of this tradition, a sapling is first planted in a designated plantation pit
within the SOA construction yard, marking the symbolic start of a sustainable journey. After the event, the tree is carefully transferred to a permanent, suitable
location on campus where it can thrive and grow. Every tree planted is tagged with a QR code that allows you to:
- Learn about the event it represents
- Know the date it was planted
- Discover the name of the person or group who planted it
This thoughtful tradition not only adds to the ecological richness of our campus but also serves as a living archive of our shared history, growth, and commitment to responsible design.
Look around—you’ll find that every tree has a story.
